Firstly this is not an April fools joke.
Students from the University of NSW have been setting up the Australian Medical Student Journal (AMSJ) over the last couple of months, and the inaugural issue is going to be released soon.
The publication is peer-reviewed and accepts submissions from both medical students and students in medically-related fields. It will hopefully emulate the success of other medical student publications such as Student BMJ.
The publication is intended to particularly appeal to medical students, but will also be of interest to those interested in science and the medical world. Content will range from original research articles, review articles, case reports, feature articles (essays, conference reports, elective reports), book reviews, to letters/news.
The first issue shall be freely available and according to the publishers will be released sometime in late April.
