Rural Emergency Medicine

Last year @DrVes set up a spreadsheet of top tweeting doctors. The list is populated with over 50 tweeting physicians from a wide range of specialities from allergists through to surgeons. This list is great for existing users of twitter to connect with the top tweeting physicians of a particularly speciality, but also for twitter newbies who are looking for some interesting people to follow.

To make it easier for the new tweeter I decided that I should do up a post on the Top 10 Medical Tweeters. Of course, realising that as a medical student I should be careful not to go round stepping on any toes, or accidently not selecting a highly accomplished physician in this particular list, I resorted to using Klout to develop my top ten.
Klout is a standard for determing your online influence via twitter.

So here are the physician's that Klout says (and possibly myself) have the greatest influence and are a must to follow.

Feeling that Australia missed out on it's chance to feature in the Top Ten, I decided to add a special number 11. Technically he's an import, but Australia will claim him as our own this time round.

So there are the Top 10 by Klout score. Who are your favourite physician tweeters?
